2008 Summer League details

Format

All matches played at Ryedale Sports Club, starting 7pm
Matches take place each Monday and Wednesday nights for 7 weeks from April 21^st (two matches on each night)
Teams of two, plus reserves
Matches consist of 5 sets (4 singles and a doubles)
Sets are best of 7 games
One point is awarded for each set won
Teams play each other just once: seven matches per team in total
Matches cannot be postponed: teams not turning up concede the match 5-0 (teams are therefore strongly advised to find at least one reserve)

Notes

1. Completed Scorecards should be left at Ryedale Sports Club on the noticeboard (a plastic pocket will be provided, plus blank scorecards)

2. A wallchart will be provided so that all team can keep track of results, scores, points and averages: this should be filled in after each match by each team

3. Andy Grayson will collect completed scorecard and maintain a record of results, tables etc.

4. A trophy for the winning team and averages winner will be presented at the RTTL 2009 Dinner.

5. Team fees will be £6 per team. Note that this is an increase on the £4 on the entry form but it will cover all costs including trophies, admin and venue (a proportion of the money will be donated to Ryedale Sports Club). Please give a cheque for £6, payable to RTTL, or cash to league Treasurer Jean Wardman ASAP.

The 2007 Summer League

Unfortunately, due to various circumstances, not all of the matches of the 2007 Summer League were completed, despite organiser Andy Grayson's best efforts. These matches were declared void. Here are the final results, tables and averages:
